PROPHETIC WORDS
PRESS IN FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTERS
by Jimmy Njino
March 2026.
his prophetic word was given at the NZ Council of Prophets gathering and Behold Conference in Christchurch, March 2026
This is what the Lord began to put on my Spirit.
Matt 16:13-19. “When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 “But what about you?” He asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
The first thing that I began to write down as the Lord was speaking to me…
Point One
God is calling us into the place of divine encounters. There's an invitation from God to move from the opinions of men to the revelations of God. And I felt that, really, the Lord is calling us back to the place of equipping, because the place of encounters is the place of equipping. It's the place of vision, it's the place of commissioning happening, just like Moses had that encounter with the burning bush and when he was sent, he was able to get the people of Israel out of Egypt and take them into the promised land, Whoever can stand before God will be able to stand before men, and no enemy will be able to stand before him. And no pharaoh, no opposition.
Point Two
The Lord said to me that the place of revelation is the place of stability. God is calling New Zealand to that place of stability, but that can only come from the place of divine revelation, the place of encounters with God.
Point Three
From the place of revelation as stability, the church in New Zealand will be able to stand and withstand every demonic assault. It says that on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. So I feel that instead of even fighting with the demonic and fighting rewards out there, God is calling us to be established in Him.
It is in that place of standing in the place of revelation and that place of stability, that the demonic is defeated and nullified in that place. He says that the gates of Hades will not prevail. God is calling the church of New Zealand into partnership with Him, not to take false responsibility, not to take upon ourselves what should be on God's shoulders. He says, "Come unto me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
I felt that where there has been a lot of burnout and tiredness it has been because of people taking upon themselves what they should have allowed the Lord to carry. And so the Lord is calling us back to Himself. Come unto me, all you who labour. We are all called to labour, we are all called to self-governance, but if labour has become a burden, we become heavily laden with labour; God’s work has gone from a joy to a chore. It becomes tedious.
The Lord is calling us back to the place of encounters, and I believe the place of encounters is a place of partnerships. Every one of us, with whatever limited resources we have, has been called to a greater calling, a greater vision, and a vision will always be bigger than your provision and your capacity. He will always call us to feed the 5000, knowing full well, we've only got five loaves and two fish in our pockets, and that is not bringing us to the place of frustration, but that's an invitation into partnership. because that which is not enough in our hands becomes more than enough in His hands.
And so we must come to that place of partnership with God. And I really felt that the way forward for the body of Christ in New Zealand is to understand the partnership. If one can put a thousand to flight, two can put 10,000, and when we come to be able to partner with the Lord, then building becomes possible, because the Lord says, "On this rock, on this place of revelation, this place of encounter, I will build my church.”
So no matter what commission, no matter what assignment, no matter what calling God has given us, He's called us to partner with Him, and to understand that it's His responsibility to do the work, to finish the work. I will build My church, and we will partner with Him in the process of doing that. So, we have to go to Him with our limited resources.
It’s like saying, “What do you have in your hands, Moses?” Moses had only a stick, but in the place of an encounter, that stick was able to bring an entire nation. God can perform miracles through what you have in your hand. So whatever insignificant things we think we have in the place of the encounter, the place of partnership, God will allow us as the body of Christ to be able to move mountains at this time.
Point Four
I also felt from the place of divine encounters that the Lord wants to give the church keys; keys give access, access into the supernatural.
I felt that where there has been access denied in the past, God wants to grant access. He wants to allow us to step into those dimensions and places where we have not been able to see breakthroughs in the past.
God is calling us into those places, and I felt that there was a change in the realm of the Spirit, where there have been seasons of denied access, but we have come to the place of encounters with God. We're about to step into granted access, and God is about to allow us to come up hither, to come into those dimensions, to step into the supernatural, and see resources, even Kingdom resources, being released into the body of Christ.
Because the bible says, “My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory.” If you access the glory, then you can access Kingdom provision. So this access is granted, even at this time, for the body of Christ, but it is only going to be in a place of divine alignment, which comes from revelation and divine encounters with God. So we really need to press in for encounters.
We need to press in and say, God, we want nothing less than encounters. We don't want third-hand revelation information about You, or what others say about you. I want to have an encounter with You myself. I want to be able to encounter You and what You have for me.
I feel God has given His people authority to shift atmospheres, the power to bind, what needs to be bound and to release into the atmosphere, what needs to be released.
Lastly, Jesus says, “…and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loose in heaven.” And I felt that the nature of authority is that it's a two-way street. There’s things that we bind, there’s things that we will restrict, but there's things that we also release, and we permit, too. And I felt in my spirit that God is making the body of Christ to become like a customs officer, because customs officers are the ones who decide what comes into the nation and what doesn’t. Whatever's going on in the world, God is allowing the body of Christ right now to become a spiritual customs officer, to either grant access or deny entry, and some things want to come into New Zealand from other parts of ideologies, agendas, all sorts of stuff.
And the Lord is allowing the body of Christ, even from this place of encounter, to administrate the atmosphere, the airspace of New Zealand. Whatever you bind here is bound there, whatever you lose here is loose there. And that means that not only do we restrict, but we also give access to what God wants to do on Earth as it is in heaven. We want to see miracles here, so we're saying, “Lord, do it.”
God wants us to begin to make declarations and decrees on earth that are in line with whatever God wants to do in that heavenly dimension.
So I really sense that was what the Spirit of God was saying to the body of Christ, and that's the posture of our hearts at this time as the church, and I believe that as we do that, we will see the hand of God in this nation in a tremendous way.
