PROPHETIC WORDS

PREPARATION AND UNITY

by Denise Cooper

This prophetic word was given at the NZ Council of Prophets gathering in Christchurch, March 2023.

Preparation

Isa 54:2-4 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back, lengthen your chords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out on the right and the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. Do not be afraid, your will not be put to shame, do not fear disgrace, you will not be humiliated.”

This year is a year of training and developing people’s callings. People have been sitting on their giftings and have not engaged with what God has placed in their lives. God is calling His people to stand up, engage with the Holy Spirit, and see their potential grow and mature in Him.

Matt 25:14-18, The Kingdom of heaven is “like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.”

This is a call for each and every one of us, family and friends, to use the strengths and gifts that God has placed within us, and to stand and rededicate them to the Lord for His service. It doesn’t matter what the strengths are, God will use, and multiply, them when they are dedicated to Him on the altar of sacrifice.

It’s a year of preparing the church environment; not just to keep the present-day church happy, but for the influx which 2024 will bring. I feel that the Lord is challenging the Bride to prepare for children, like parents do with a new baby – all the gear, clothing, a safe environment. So the Church should prepare its environment with the necessities for church growth.

Unity

This is a year of relationships being more firmly established within our own locality. As we join together more, we will grow in trust and confidence, so that when we need to ‘bounce ideas ’off each other we will have a new level of confidence and respect for each other’s advice. We’ve never been on this pathway before. God is doing a new thing. Our walking in respect and encouragement with other ministries in our towns and cities will bring greater honour to the Lord, not to men and women:

Psa 133:1-3, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard….down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mt Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forever more.”

Luke 5:7, “So they signalled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.”
