PROPHETIC WORDS

IT’S THE DAWNING OF A NEW DAY

by Ian Johnson

February 2020

This morning I clearly heard the Lord say, “It’s the dawning of a new day.” Thinking about what He said led me to this Scripture; Isaiah 8:11-13 NLT The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don't call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don't live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven's Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.

With everything happening in the world it’s easy to get caught up in the momentum of events. However the Lord, the God of all, is in charge, and it’s the dawning of a new day.

There is great activity at the dawning of a new day; the birds sing and fill the crisp clear air with the sound of a song to YHVH. The shadows begin to flee as the sun arises, as if in triumph over the darkness. One of my favourite places to be at the dawn is Australia; before the sun arises the Kookaburra bird begins to laugh the darkness away.

God is saying to us all, “Don’t think in terms of darkness, as others think, but frame up your days full of light, in the launching of the dawn.” He is the light.

The Scripture in Isaiah 8 that I quoted leads on to Isaiah 9 the revealing of Messiah.

Isaiah 9:1-7 NLT Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder. For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor's rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian. The boots of the warrior and the uniforms bloodstained by war will all be burned. They will be fuel for the fire. For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven's Armies will make this happen!

Psalm 57:8 NLT - Wake up, my heart! Wake up, O lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.

Isaiah 58:8 NLT “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the LORD will protect you from behind.

ITS THE DAWNING OF A NEW DAY.
