DAVID NEEDS YOU…

There is a fresh anointing coming on the prophets to find, encourage, and anoint ‘Davids’.

We don’t have a Goliath problem, we have a ‘lack of Davids’ problem. There are giants running free, taunting the nations and mocking, in their various different ways, God’s church in the same manner that Goliath taunted and mocked Israel.

The Spirit is searching out, anointing, and calling out “Davids”.

Numbers, influence, skill, experience, lot’s of people all gathered together for a common cause, a vast army, status… all of those things stood inferior to Goliath and the same is true today. The solution for Goliath was one boy with not much other than a heart totally surrendered to, and absorbed in, God. God was hiding in ‘one’ not in the multitudes and He’s hiding in the one’s today. There are individuals hidden throughout this rising generation today who will be like David was for Israel, for the world and church today, within the season we are currently entering. And they will not always be the ones we expect, or be found in the places we expect to find them.

I believe there is a fresh apostolic leadership waiting to be called up into position in the body of Christ. One that ‘Samuel’ will celebrate and champion, and that “Saul” will discredit, persecute, intimidate and be intimidated by. As we pass on the ‘baton’ from the season fading to the season coming, we need to make sure we stand as Samuel did and not Saul. In my times of prayer I’ve been leaning into this, and a burning prayer has been coming out of me along these lines…

God, Give me eyes, and a heart like the prophet Samuel,

Give me a heart that is moved by what moves You,

Show me who the Davids are, and help me to represent You to them,

Help me to see them and give me grace to call them out of hiding and into their calling.

Even when they have been disappointed and pushed to the side by others,

Give me grace and power to call them up into position for this time,

Help me to not be distracted by the ‘many’, but give me wisdom to adjust my schedule to search out and find the ones who are “Davids” to this generation.

I’m writing this now because I feel like the essence of this prayer is something burning in God for the prophetic community to lean into.

Prophets, you have a VITAL role to play in this moment… for David to step into His calling Samuel needed to fearlessly walk in his. There is an anointing on the prophets to find, encourage, and anoint ‘David’. I’m praying that God will put something of what He placed on Samuel on His prophets in this land and in this time.
