PROPHETIC WORDS

ARE YOU ‘FAT’ WITH THE PROPHETIC WORD OF THE LORD?

by Libby George

September 2025

This is a season to be full – overflowing with the Word of the Lord – like the kererū, the great New Zealand wood pigeon, heavy with fruit.

Just yesterday, my husband stood fishing in the bay when thousands of birds suddenly surrounded him, driving schools of fish toward the shore. It was a breathtaking picture of creation moving in unity, attuned to the rhythms of the season. The birds knew: it was time to feed. The fish knew: it was time to swim upstream and reproduce. Creation responds instinctively to timing. So must we.

Prophets, are you discerning the hour? Are you carrying the weight of God’s Word in this season?

Recently, the Lord showed me a vision of land breaking open in our region. As the ground split, a kererū descended, dropping seeds into the newly exposed soil. Immediately, I understood: the apostolic anointing breaks the ground, but it is the prophetic word that carries the seed of life into the soil. Only together does the forest regenerate, the ecosystem renew, and new life spring forth.

The kererū is the only bird in New Zealand capable of swallowing the largest native fruits and dispersing their seeds. Without it, regeneration stalls. With it, forests thrive. So it is with the prophetic voice. We are called to consume the deep mysteries of the Spirit—the heavy fruits of revelation, wisdom, and divine understanding – and then to release them into the soil God has prepared. If we withhold, ecosystems remain barren. But if we release, new communities, new movements, and new growth burst forth.

This is not a season to be silent. This is a season to be "fat" with the Word of the Lord – well-fed, full of revelation, and ready to scatter seeds.

Prophets, hear this: Absorb deeply. Feed on the Spirit until you are heavy with His mysteries. Speak boldly. Release what you carry – without hesitation, without apology. Sow generously. Scatter the seeds into every patch of freshly broken ground. The soil is ready. God is establishing a new spiritual ecosystem. The season has shifted.

Just as the kererū becomes fat with fruit to ensure the forest’s future, so too are you called to carry the fullness of God’s Word for the sake of His people.

Don’t hold back. Release the seed. A harvest is waiting.
