A CALL TO PRAYER AND ACTION

This prophetic word was given at the NZ Council of Prophets gathering and Behold Conference in Christchurch, March 2025.

God is doing much in this time. It’s a time of mobilising and activation. The restoring of 5 fold ministry. God is saying, “No more pew sitters,” There’s a continued call to the Secret Place, where God is re-aligning us, awakening us, empowering us, activating us, accelerating us, and sending us.

This word is a call to prayer, and action.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

The phrase "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is a Chinese idiom (卧虎藏龙, Wò hǔ cáng lóng) that speaks of hidden potential, concealed power, or an unseen force waiting to be revealed. When viewed prophetically in light of Wuhan's significance—being the origin of COVID-19, a sister city to Christchurch, and a key city in China's revolutionary history—it carries deep symbolic weight.

Prophetic Connections to “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”

1. A Dormant Power Awakening

• The crouching tiger represents a force that has been lying in wait, unseen but ready to strike. Wuhan, historically significant in China's rise, was relatively obscure on the global stage until COVID-19 thrust it into the spotlight. This could symbolize hidden agendas, global shifts, and spiritual forces at work—both in the natural and supernatural realms.

• China’s growing influence, especially in the Pacific, reflects a tiger awakening, flexing its muscles strategically through trade, diplomacy, and military presence.

2. The Hidden Dragon—Spiritual Forces at Work

• In biblical and prophetic language, the dragon often represents powers and principalities, particularly linked to deception, control, and spiritual warfare (Rev 12:9 speaks of the dragon as the deceiver of nations).

• China’s role in shaping global events, whether through political influence, technology, or economic control, can be seen as a hidden dragon at work behind the scenes, influencing nations beyond what is visible.

3. Christchurch-Wuhan Connection—A Tale of Two Cities

• Christchurch, a city with a strong prophetic and spiritual heritage, is twinned with Wuhan—a city known for birthing both revolutions and crises.

• Could Christchurch’s connection to Wuhan be an invitation for intercessors to engage in spiritual warfare and prophetic declarations? Just as Wuhan was a launching pad for global crisis, could Christchurch be a launching pad for global revival?

4. A Warning and a Call to Discernment

• The phrase "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" also speaks to deception and the need for discernment. Many geopolitical and spiritual forces are at play, some overt and others working in the shadows.

• The Church must be awake and prepared—not only to counter natural threats (such as political shifts in the Pacific) but also spiritual threats that seek to undermine truth, freedom, and the advance of the Kingdom.  Please hear me. This is not a comment. about any one country, any one political system, but is about the freedom that means God’s purposes to be fulfilled in our region

5. A Prophetic Call to the Pacific Nations

• With China increasing its influence in the Pacific, smaller nations must be vigilant. The "crouching tiger" may appear as a partner, but its power, once fully revealed, could lead to control rather than collaboration.

• The hidden dragon points to spiritual battles over sovereignty, truth, and freedom in the Pacific. This is a call for prophetic voices to rise, watchmen to stand on the walls, and intercessors to pray for the right alignments among nations.

Call to Action

• Intercessors must rise—Christchurch, as a prophetic well, recognising its connection to Wuhan and pray strategically for global shifts and protection over the Pacific.

• Apostolic leaders must discern the times—nations must be wise in their alliances, not falling into the traps of economic dependency that lead to spiritual and political compromise.

• The Church must awaken—the enemy often works in hidden ways, but God’s people are called to expose darkness and release Kingdom strategies.

This is a time of great shaking, but also a time of great opportunity for those who see with spiritual eyes. What appears as a crisis could be an opening for Kingdom advancement if the Church discerns the times correctly. 

There will be a multiplication of prayer and churches coming together in kōtahitanga (unity) and praying. 

It’s a call out of apathy.  To wake up, stand up and take our place on the ramparts of our nation in prayer and worship.

1. We declare that every hidden agenda and unseen force working against the purposes of God in the nations will be exposed and brought into the light!  The schemes of the enemy will not prevail, for the wisdom and discernment of God’s people will rise in this hour. (Luke 8:17)

2. We decree that Christchurch will step into its prophetic destiny as a city of revival and restoration!  Christchurch will see an outpouring of the Spirit that will impact the nations. (Isaiah 61:1-4)

3. We decree that the Church will awaken as watchmen over the nations, interceding with authority and strategy!  No enemy shall take ground unnoticed, and the plans of heaven will be established in the earth. (Ezekiel 33:7)

Shifting Landscape

The Lord is shifting and transforming the landscape. He is bringing down the high places and raising up the low. Every high and proud place that opposes God’s will is being humbled, and every place of humility is being raised to reflect His glory. As we yield and surrender to His purposes, everything will be aligned to lift up the name of Jesus. He is maturing his church. Growing people. 

I saw the waters around New Zealand stirring, bubbling, and boiling as God’s fire descends. His glory will be powerfully revealed in this nation. His destiny for this nation will be fulfilled!

We have the opportunity to align in the spirit when challenges come our way.  

Declarations:

1. We declare that God is shifting the spiritual landscape of New Zealand, bringing transformation and alignment to His purposes.

2. We declare that high places of pride, idolatry, and injustice are being brought low, and low places of humility and righteousness are being lifted up.

3. We declare that the name of Jesus will be exalted over this nation, drawing hearts to Him and revealing His truth and love.

4. We declare that New Zealand’s waters are stirring with the presence of God, that His Spirit is moving with fire, power, and glory.

5. We declare that New Zealand will see a mighty outpouring of God’s Spirit, bringing revival, transformation, and healing to every corner of the land.
